Big Ten Tournament Schedule

The 2024 Big Ten tournament will award an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament beginning on March 21. Illinois, Nebraska, and Northwestern lead the way after finishing strong during the regular season.

All three will likely receive one of the 36 at-large selections to move on to the Big Dance. In addition, the top ten seeds will have a first-round bye. The top four teams will see their first action in the quarterfinals.

In Game 1, #12 Maryland (15-16) will battle #13 Rutgers (15-16) in the first round on Wednesday night at 6:30 PM ET. Game 2 will feature #11 Penn State (15-16) vs. #14 Michigan (8-23). 

The second round commences at noon on Thursday. Leading that action will be Game 3 between #8 Michigan State (18-13) and #9 Minnesota (18-13). 

Next, Game 4 has #5 Wisconsin (19-12) against the winner of Game 1. #7 Iowa (18-13) clashes with #10 Ohio State (19-12) in Game 5. Game 6 will then feature #6 Indiana (18-13) against the Game 2 winner.

Friday’s quarterfinals begin at noon with #1 Purdue (28-3) vs. the Game 3 winner. This contest will be followed by #4 Northwestern (21-10) vs. the Game 4 winner. Next up, #2 Illinois (23-8) will take on the Game 5 winner. Then, #3 Nebraska (22-9) will face the Game 6 winner to wrap up the round.

The Semifinals will begin on Saturday at 1 PM. The winners of those contests will move on to the Big Ten Championship Game scheduled for Sunday at 3:30 PM.
