NCAAB Matchups for February 19
Just a few of the country’s top 25 teams will be in action. However, college basketball fans will have twenty games to choose from when they make their NCAAB predictions for Monday night.
A crucial matchup in the Big 12 features #10 Iowa State (19-5) visiting #3 Houston (21-3), who are tied at the top of the conference standings with 8-3 records. The Cyclones pulled an upset to hand the Cougars their first loss of the season, taking a 57-53 win on January 9. They beat Cincinnati 68-59 on Tuesday night and have won three straight games since losing to #18 Baylor.
Houston’s most recent loss was a 78-65 defeat at the hands of Kansas a couple of weeks ago. Since then, they’ve picked up wins over Oklahoma State and Cincinnati.
Baylor and Texas Tech are tied for third in the Big 12 at 7-4, one game behind the leaders. Kansas is just behind them with a 7-5 conference record.
#21 Virginia (19-5) will be in Blacksburg to take on Virginia Tech (14-10) in a battle of ACC rivals. The Cavaliers ran off eight straight wins before being upset by Pitt 74-63 in their previous game. They’re now just one game behind first-place North Carolina and a half-game behind Duke in the standings.
The Hokies are tenth in the ACC standings. They rebounded from a three-game skid to get a victory over Florida State in their last contest.
